Our zone has been having an amazing year so far for the 2025-2026 school year!
We have had 2 general membership meetings. Our fist meeting was virtual over zoom and was well attended. The topic was Legal Issues in the School Nurse setting and our presenter was our zone 1 president, Sylvia Kalich.
Our second meeting was also well attended and was in person at the Uniondale Fire House. Our presenter was Dr. Mary Cataletto pediatric pulmonologist. She lectured on the topic, Transitioning Children and Young Adult to Adult model of asthma care. The topic was informative and well received by all in attendance.
Our 3rd meeting will be held on March 25th at 4:30 at the Uniondale Fire House. Our guest speaker will be Trisha Geisel who will speak on topics TBD.
Finally, our school nurses day dinner will be held at the Uniondale Fire House and will be a catered dinner with some fun games which we are still deciding on. We are hoping to see all our zone members there so we can celebrate with each other!!
