NYSASN School Nurse of the Year Award
Nominations are being accepted for next year's School Nurse of the Year. This year due to rising costs of mailing, the nominations procedure has changed from that of previous years. No longer will NYSASN members be recieving a separate mailing asking for nominations. The nomination form is now available online and the eligibility criteria and instructions for nominations are included below. Feel free to make copies and distribute to potential candidates as necessary. This is your chance to nominate someone whom you consider a special school nurse for a special honor.
The prospect of preparing a portfolio can be overwhelming at first, but the process often provides a perspective that is very rewarding in itself. Being nominated by peers, colleagues or administrators is most definitely an honor, but self nomination is appropriate as well, and welcomed. Please consider this venture into professional reflection. Further questions can be directed to Barbara Weingart, Zone 14 Representative and School Nurse of the Year Coordinator, or Joanne Reynolds, Past President.
